I'm really loving my Dad's camera! It's a Pentax *ist DS, 4 years old, pretty damn heavy, but I've realised it takes nicer pictures than my G9. The thing is, I tried to lock the lens?? a few years ago which broke the mirror or something so there are black scratches all over the lens..

Gahhh.. My laptop stuffed up! It won't turn on properly. It keeps saying NTLDR missing and I can't start up in safe mode or anything! So I'm on my iMac right now. I'll be uploading photos from previous days to catch up, but for now, I'm going to play Pictionary :)

i would suggest you do the obvious, take to a local camera repair shop, and see if they can replace the glass, or fix it for minor cost.
